Target series - 2007/2008

Being relatively new to photography I am fascinated by the power of the camera. I have taken many pictures over the years while traveling and have always returned with the feeling that the picture captured a very external glance. I traveled to Holland in 2007 and my father, Rudi Struik, and I played with the camera in the garden. Since that day I have taken many “target” pictures and here are just a few.
In this series of abstract color photographic images I want to inspire a closer look. Due to life’s time constraints we often don’t see all that an image can offer. By changing the lens or how you look at something I want to stimulate your imagination, to inspire a closer look and deeper contemplation.
